What to expect each month

Associates sessions are intensive by design. Your child will be expected to work at a professional pace in a focused room.

The WEK approach

  • Clear standards: we are specific about what needs to improve and why

  • Direct feedback: notes are practical, actionable, and tied to measurable progress

  • Technique-first: sustainable development comes before performance polish

  • A serious peer group: performers train alongside others with similar intent

Between sessions
To progress in a monthly format, performers need to retain work, practise, and return ready to build on it. We will be honest about whether the format is supporting your child’s development.

Where Associates can lead

WEK: Associates is built to support the next step—whether that is preparing for auditions, strengthening technique for higher‑level training, or developing readiness for more demanding performance environments.

Associates may be suitable if your child is aiming towards:

  • stronger audition outcomes and improved consistency

  • structured preparation for performing arts college routes

  • potential progression into more advanced WEK pathways, where appropriate

Progression is never automatic. Places and outcomes are based on readiness, coachability, and standards over time.

Entry is selective

We look for potential, yes – but also maturity, coachability, and the ability to apply feedback.

How to apply

  1. Register to audition or attend a WEK: Workshop

  2. Review by the WEK team

  3. Outcome and next steps

Ready for a serious monthly training environment?

If your child wants disciplined progress in a selective room – and you can support a reliable monthly commitment – WEK: Associates may be the right fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Associates runs one full Sunday per month (10:00–17:00). Because the format is monthly, consistent attendance and preparation between sessions are essential.

Technical development across singing, acting and dance, plus audition craft and professional rehearsal habits. The emphasis is on repeatable technique, not one‑off performance moments.

Sessions are taught at a professional pace with clear objectives. Work is built through repetition, correction and targeted feedback, then revisited to measure progress.

Associates is primarily a training pathway. Where performance opportunities are offered, they are based on readiness and suitability for the context.

Feedback is specific and practical. We prioritise coachability and steady improvement, and we will be direct if a different pathway would better support a performer.
