Success Story: Holly-Anne Hull – From West End Kids to Leading Lady in The Phantom of the Opera
At West End Kids, we take immense pride in the achievements of our alumni, and Holly-Anne Hull‘s journey from our stage to the West End is a testament to the dedication and talent fostered within our community.
Early Beginnings and Training
Holly-Anne’s passion for performance ignited at a young age – joining West End Kids at age 10 where she had extensive private singing lessons with West End Kids Founder, Musical Supervisor and Head of Singing, Martin Williams. Holly went on to train at the London School of Musical Theatre, where she honed her skills alongside fellow aspiring artists. Her early experiences with West End Kids provided a solid foundation, nurturing her confidence and stage presence.
The Phantom of the Opera Journey
In 2020, Holly-Anne was cast as Christine Daaé in the UK and Ireland tour of The Phantom of the Opera. Although the tour was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her performance left a lasting impression. She continued her association with the production, becoming the alternate Christine in the West End revival at Her Majesty’s Theatre in 2021. By January 2023, Holly-Anne stepped into the principal role, captivating audiences with her portrayal of Christine.
Other Notable Performances
Beyond The Phantom of the Opera, Holly-Anne’s theatre credits include:
- Les Misérables: Understudied Cosette and Gavroche in the West End production.
- Loserville: Played Holly Manson at The Union Theatre.
- Copacabana: Portrayed Gladys in the UK tour.
- Robin Hood: Took on the role of Maid Marion at the Grove Theatre.
