West End Kids is a professional rehearsal and performance system, built around how productions are developed and rehearsed in the industry.

This is not a weekly stage school or class-based programme – it is structured around rehearsal blocks, performance preparation and progression towards performance.

The Structure

The year is divided into three seasons:

  • Winter – January to April
  • Spring / Summer – April to August
  • Autumn – September to December

Each season includes:

This structure allows rehearsal time to be focused and structured, with each block building towards performance. Rehearsal days run 11:00am to 6:00pm

Entry

Most performers begin with a West End Kids Workshop.

This is the first step into the West End Kids system, where students experience the rehearsal process and are assessed for progression.

Following this, students may be invited to:

WEK: Training

WEK: Training is the pathway into the West End Kids Troupe.

Students:

The West End Kids Troupe is the highest level of the programme.
